Switching to Elite Wet Cat Food
Switching to Maybel Elite Premium Cat Food is easy and smooth if done correctly. The transition should happen over the course of at least 7 to 10 days depending on the cat and previous diet. It is recommended to mix just 15-25% on the first day. Increase the percentage to 20-25% on a subsequent day and continue to slowly increase the new food until you have a 50-50 mix. Let your cat enjoy this proportion for 1-2 days and then increase the Elite’s quantity to 75% and keep 25% of the previous food. Keep the 75%-25% proportion for 1-2 more days before giving 100% new food.
Feeding Instructions
Recommended serving guide is as follows:
- Adult cats aged 1+ year(s) should consume 45 to 60 grams, 2 times daily
- Young cats aged 6-12 months should consume 30-35 grams, 3 times daily
- Kittens should consume 25-30 grams, 3 times daily
Please keep in mind that a tablespoon approximately weighs 15-20 grams. It’s important to note that these are rough estimates, and the actual serving size may vary based on the specific cat’s needs. It’s best to consult with a veterinarian for a more personalized recommendation. Additionally, monitor your cat’s weight and adjust their food intake as necessary to maintain a healthy body condition.
Storage
- Elite is a canned wet cat food, so if it’s not stored properly, it can go bad within 24 hours.
- Make sure to properly cover, pack and refrigerate after opening. And try to use one can within 2 weeks, maximum.
- Shelf life is up to 5 to 8 months
- Avoid direct sunlight
- Don’t store it in a warm or wet place
- Return the package if it’s damaged or the food is spoiled
- Don’t feed expired or spoiled food to your pets

My review of Maybel Elite is that it really is what it claims to be – the best cat food in Pakistan. I’ve never found such a food that checks all the boxes for me. First of all, it’s economical and doesn’t spoil that quickly. I kept an opened can in my fridge for more than 5 days and it was good, my cats ate it happily. Unlike many other wet foods, it’s always available. I get my delivery in maximum 2-3 days. Next is that my cats like it very much. Every time I pick up the tin and they listen the sound, they come running and start looking up. And looking at the ingredients, it has everything a premium cat food should have. Happy to be a loyal customer. Please keep the quality, quantity and price constant.
